The Person | | | By addressing the person, we mean, the physical and psychological aspects of an individual. One's psychological health is imperative to his/her physical health. It is well believed that there is a link between the mind and the body. Thus, a discouraged spirit may manifest as depression in one's soul and as a result, one may experience physical fatigue, low energy, headache, backaches or some other symptom. SGCC is therefore interested in both the physical and psychological health of the person. | |

The Problem | | | In addressing the problem, we mean, the psychosocial factors contributing to one's physical and pyschological well-being. Indeed job loss, death of a loved one, infidelity, or other relationship conflict can negatively impact the spirit of a person which may produce increased emotional distress and therefore, compromise one's physical well-being. | |  |
| The Predicament | In addressing the predicament, we mean, the spiritual aspect of a person. SGCC pre-supposes that the human predicament has to do with a core need for reconciliation with God through his son, Jesus Christ. Thus, what is wrong with human nature cannot be set right by human efforts alone, but must be aided by the therapy of the Holy Spirit (Sheets 1987, 70). |
